SPAM & VIRUS Updates

SPAM: A new wave of SPAM is currently flooding the Internet; these Emails use FORGED SENDER ADDRESSES. Use extreme caution if you get "strange" emails from people you know.. the Emails may be forgeries containing links to toxic websites.
DO NOT reply to, or click the links in these types of Emails

VIRUSES: The latest waves of Viruses & Malware are being delivered using SPAM EMAIL techniques and try to trick you into opening attachments or clicking on links. Banks do NOT send emails requesting your Account Number & P.I.N!! Nor do Telstra/Bigpond & other ISP's send Emails requesting your username & password or stating you must provide this info to reactivate your account etc. If in doubt phone your ISP direct!!
I.T Security is all about YOU!!

Treat the Internet as you would REAL LIFE - Anyone can ring you up stating they are from Telstra, Anz Bank, or the ATO & demand your personal details to verify your identity... instead request their name &/or ID Number and then call back using the PHONE BOOK and check whether the call was legitimate.

Domain Name Scams: You may receive invoices stating that your Website will disappear from Search Engines if you do not pay $75 to register or renew the "service". Ignore such correspondence, it is a scam. You should only pay Domain Name renewals to the company you originally registered your Domain with, and Website Hosting fees to the Provider that hosts your website. If in doubt feel free to contact us and we will verifiy the authenticity of such invoices.
